"As sheriff, my goal is to bring the latest and greatest technology to this agency," continued Sheriff Masseno of the Lee County Police Department in Fort Myers, Florida. "The Lee County Sheriff's Office is proud to be the first law enforcement agency in the United States to use a pendant fixed-wing drone in our daily operations."

"The vertical fixed-wing drone can take off and land vertically. Therefore, it has very low requirements for the take-off and landing site, which can be on the roof, on the road, or on the backyard garden."
Sheriff Masseno claimed that "we chose the hoisting fixed-wing drone primarily because of its flight time of two hours, which exceeds the more limited 20-30 minutes allowed by most other drones. Flight time. We can use it for critical tasks like finding missing persons and tracking wanted targets."

The vertical fixed wing has a top speed of 67 mph and can maintain a distance of 18 miles from the operator. Also equipped with a 4K optical zoom lens and infrared camera, the unit is well-equipped to assist the sheriff's office when responding to calls at night.
