ST Engineering will use its self-developed drones to inspect the aircraft after the aviation department is authorized by the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS). The solution DroScan maintains aircraft maintenance in Singapore’s maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities During the General Visual Inspection (GVI). This is the first time CAAS has authorized the use of unmanned aerial systems for GVI on aircraft registered in Singapore. With this authorization, ST Engineering can apply its DroScan solution to approved aircraft models, such as the Airbus A320 series.
