1. What is Mesh networking?
Mesh is a multi-node, centerless, self-organized wireless multi-hop communication network (Note: Currently, some manufacturers and application markets have introduced wired Mesh and hybrid interconnection: the concept of wired + wireless, but here we mainly discuss traditional wireless Mesh, because in many special application scenarios, wiring conditions are not available or wiring is very difficult and inconvenient), any wireless device node in the network can be used as a router to send and receive signals, and can be dynamic in any way Maintain connection and communication with other single or multiple nodes. 2. Network form
The topology of the Mesh network is not fixed, and is completely based on the adaptive changes of the channel quality between the nodes. As shown in the following pictures, the network topology changes when four nodes are networked.
1) Chain topology
Each node is distributed in a chain, and only two adjacent nodes can communicate directly.
Nodes 2, 3, and 4 return video data to node 1, but node 4 requires nodes 3 and 2 as relays, and node 3 requires node 2 as a relay.
2) Star topology
Each node is connected to the network in a star-shaped manner. There is a central node in the network, and other nodes are directly connected to the central node.
Nodes 2, 3, and 4 directly return video data to node 1.
3) Mesh topology
Multiple nodes connect multiple types of networks, allowing the network to choose the fastest path to transmit data.
Nodes 2, 3, and 4 transmit video data back to node 1, but node 4 requires node 2 as a relay, and nodes 2 and 3 directly transmit back to node 1.
